With the purpose of complying with the common objectives of the Panama Public Registry and the Notaries Association of Panama, who interact constantly, a coordination meeting was held, where ideas were exchanged regarding the most important initiatives that could generate the best benefits for the users.
The Director General of the Panama Public Registry, Hernando Abraham Carrasquilla; the President of the Notaries Association of Panama, Raul Ivan Castillo; the Vice-President of the Notaries Association of Panama, Luis Fraiz Docabo; the Secretary of the Board of Directors, Tania Cheng; the Secretary General of the Panama Public Registry, Melinda Valdes de Giraldo; the Director of Legal Counseling of the Panama Public Registry, Rorix Nuñez, among other important members of both parties, made known their points of view with respect to the current situation and the different options in order to improve the processes.
During this meeting, ideas regarding the Identity Verification System, with the purpose of fighting illegal activities or fraud to public deeds that are later registered at the Panama Public Registry.
Both parties highlighted that they are in the best disposition to assume the compromise of incorporating mechanisms for the verification of the users, guaranteeing in this way the notarial and registration safety.
The Director General of the Panama Public Registry, Hernando Abraham Carrasquilla highlighted that this meeting was given in the context of a process of consultation with the different involved parties in the processes that are carried out in the institution in order to generate approval as to the measures of technological improvement, quality of service and transparence that redound in the well-being of the users.
